The questions people hold back

“Is this normal?”

Most consultations begin with a question someone has been carrying for months. These are asked here every week — and none of them are silly.

Periods“My cycle is never the same length. Should I be worried?”
PCOS“I’ve been told I have PCOS. Does that mean I can’t have children?”
Pain“Period pain that stops me working — is that just how it is?”
Fertility“How long should we try before we see someone?”
Contraception“Which option suits me, and will it affect me later?”
Discharge“Something has changed and I don’t know who to ask.”
Menopause“I’m 41 and everything feels different. Is it starting already?”

The aim is a room where you can ask the question you’d hesitate to ask anywhere else — and leave understanding what happens next.

About the doctor

Care that starts with listening,
then explains itself.

Dr. Anukriti Singh is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with eight years in clinical practice, consulting at Anvi MultiSpeciality Clinic in Andheri West. Her work covers the full arc of a woman’s reproductive and general health — from a teenager working out what a normal cycle looks like, to pregnancy planning and antenatal care, through to perimenopause.

Consultations are unhurried and evidence-based. What a symptom might mean, what the investigation will show, what the options are and what each one involves — explained in plain language, in the language you are most comfortable in.

There is no single signature procedure here. The emphasis is on personalised consultation, preventive women’s health and clear communication — so that decisions about your body are made by you, with accurate information in front of you.

Plan your visit
“My aim is to create a space where women feel comfortable asking even the questions they may hesitate to ask elsewhere — and leave the consultation feeling heard, reassured, and confident about the next step.”

Conditions explained

What we most often discuss in the room

Short, plain explanations — not a diagnosis. If something here sounds like you, that is a good reason to book rather than to self-diagnose.

Three-dimensional illustration of ovaries showing multiple small follicles, representing PCOS

PCOS / PCOD

A hormonal pattern, not a verdict on fertility. Managed with investigation, lifestyle and — where indicated — medication.

Three-dimensional illustration of the uterus and endometrial lining

Irregular or heavy periods

Cycle length, flow and duration all carry information. Worth investigating rather than adjusting to.

Illustration of the female pelvis with the lower pelvic region highlighted to indicate pain

Endometriosis & pelvic pain

Pain that disrupts work, sleep or intimacy is not something to wait out. It has causes that can be identified.

Three-dimensional illustration of a uterus with fibroid growths in the muscular wall

Fibroids & abnormal bleeding

Common, often silent, sometimes the reason behind heavy bleeding or pressure symptoms.

Three-dimensional illustration of a foetus within the uterus during pregnancy

Pregnancy & antenatal care

Scheduled checks, scans and the questions in between — including the ones that feel too small to ask.

Three-dimensional illustration of an ovary releasing an egg into the fallopian tube

Fertility & ovulation

How the cycle works, what affects it, and when it makes sense to begin investigating.

Clinical still of assorted contraceptive options arranged on a pale surface

Contraception

Choosing between options based on your health, plans and preference — discussed without judgement.

Abstract illustration of microbial balance within the vaginal environment

Discharge & infections

Changes in discharge, itching or odour are common and usually straightforward to treat once identified.

Three-dimensional illustration of the cervix with a screening swab

HPV & cervical screening

Screening and vaccination explained — what the test looks for and how often it is advised.

Illustration of hormonal change in perimenopause alongside an ovary render

Perimenopause & menopause

The hormonal shift can begin earlier than expected. Symptoms are manageable once named.

Three-dimensional illustration of the uterus returning to size after childbirth

Postpartum recovery

Bleeding, healing, contraception and mood after childbirth — reviewed properly, not assumed.

Three-dimensional illustration of the thyroid gland in the neck

Thyroid & hormonal health

Thyroid function affects cycles, fertility and pregnancy. Often tested alongside gynaecological concerns.
